How it works
Four steps, one meter, and a handful of rules that work in your favour. Everything here describes how the system actually behaves, not how we intend it to.
- 1
An account and a balance
Sign-up is 18+. Your balance is in credits, where 1 credit = 1 euro. There is no subscription — the money sits on your balance and only moves when you start a session or confirm an extra yourself.
- 2
You pick a reader
A rate between 2 and 4 credits a minute is shown before you call, alongside the reviews and the video mode. The “online” dot is driven by live heartbeats from the reader's browser, not by a toggle they forgot to switch off.
- 3
The session and the meter
To start, your balance must cover at least 3 minutes at that reader's rate. From there it meters by the second, and you can see both the amount spent and the time remaining throughout.
- 4
A receipt, and a review
Afterwards you get a receipt with the exact duration and amount. A review can only be left against a billed session, and only once: nobody can edit or delete it later — not you, not the reader, not us.
About the meter, precisely
- What is counted is actual connected time, in seconds. Paused time — a dropped connection, for instance — is not billed.
- Rounding always goes your way: the sub-micro-credit remainder is absorbed by the platform. Each tick recomputes the total from zero, so rounding error cannot accumulate.
- You get a warning 3 and 1 minutes before your balance runs out — in advance, not at the moment of disconnection.
- When the balance hits zero the meter stops but the call stays up, unbilled, for 30 seconds so you can say goodbye or top up. The reader is still paid for that time — out of our share.
- At 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes the session interrupts itself to ask whether you want to carry on. No answer ends it. A reader cannot dismiss that prompt. One session can run at most 180 minutes.
Spending limits
- You can set yourself a daily, weekly and monthly ceiling. A charge that would cross it simply does not go through.
- Lowering a limit takes effect at once. Raising one waits 24 hours. That removes the "raise the cap in the heat of the moment" failure mode.
- Even with no limits set, spending more than 200 credits in 24 hours triggers a 12-hour cool-down.
If a reader does not answer
- The call rings for 45 seconds. With no answer it cancels itself.
- Nothing is charged: the meter only starts when a session actually starts. An unanswered call costs nothing, and there is no such thing here as a connection fee.
- You can cancel the call yourself at any point while it is ringing.
- Rather than redialling, book a time — you will get a reminder.
How a reader appears on video
A reader may choose not to show their face — that is their safety. But the mode they chose is always written next to the video, because a mode you were not told about would be a misrepresentation.
- CAMERA
- Live camera
- STYLISED
- Live camera with a stylising filter — same person, altered appearance
- AVATAR_VOICE
- Still photo with live voice — the reader has chosen not to show video
- AUDIO_ONLY
- Voice only
What is not on that list and never will be: swapping in somebody else’s face. One worker, one profile — a constraint in the database itself, not a rule someone could break.
Paid extras
- A reader may offer a separate product — a written write-up, say. The offer appears on your screen with its price.
- Only your acceptance can move money. No action by a reader debits your balance — none at all.
- An offer lives 5 minutes and then expires on its own. At most 2 can be open at a time, so the panel cannot be flooded.
- Products that "remove a curse", "lift the evil eye" or "bring someone back" do not exist in the system: there is no such category, and the wording is blocked by a text guard and a database constraint.
If a conversation gets heavy
If a session shows signs of acute distress, the meter stops and support contacts are shown to both people. We are not going to bill for that conversation.
What we will send you
Payment receipts, low-balance warnings and appointment reminders — each one switchable in your settings. Marketing email is off by default, and we do not consider that a concession.
